This Privacy Policy explains how Red Gauntlet: The Machine Wars ("Red Gauntlet", "we", "our", "us") handles data when you use the game on iPhone and Apple Watch.

1. Data We Process

  • Gameplay and progress data: mission/chapter progress, selected chapter, tutorial state, and local unlock flags are stored on your device.
  • iCloud sync data: chapter progress values may be synced through Apple iCloud Key-Value Store so your progress can persist across your devices.
  • Purchase and entitlement data: we use RevenueCat and Apple App Store purchase systems to verify purchases, restore purchases, and unlock full game access.
  • Game Center data: if you use Apple Game Center, scores and achievements are submitted through Apple Game Center services.
  • Watch and workout data (optional): if you grant Apple Health permissions on Apple Watch, the app may read heart rate and active energy, run a workout session, and send gameplay-related watch sync messages between your watch and iPhone.

2. How We Use Data

  • Operate core gameplay features.
  • Unlock and restore paid content.
  • Enable Game Center leaderboards and achievements.
  • Support Apple Watch motion gameplay and optional workout-based stats.
  • Store and sync chapter progression.

3. Data We Do Not Sell

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Third-Party Services

Red Gauntlet uses the following services, each governed by its own privacy terms:

  • Apple App Store (payments and platform services)
  • RevenueCat (purchase entitlement management)
  • Apple Game Center (leaderboards and achievements)
  • Apple HealthKit (if authorized by you)
  • Apple iCloud Key-Value Store (progress sync)
  • Google Ads / Google tag (gtag.js) for ad performance measurement and conversion tracking on our website

5. Health and Motion Permissions

Health and motion access are permission-based. You can deny or revoke these permissions anytime in iOS/watchOS Settings. Denying them may disable watch motion controls or workout-linked features.

6. Data Retention and Control

Most gameplay data is stored by Apple platform storage on your device and, when enabled by Apple services, on your iCloud account. You can remove the app and related iCloud data through Apple settings to stop future processing.

7. Children's Privacy

Red Gauntlet is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data to us directly, contact us and we will review the request.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
